Bozell: Violence Against Women Shouldn't be a Game - GOPUSA

Do children actually have access to these filthy, disgusting, vile videos? Of course they have an impact on both children and young adults as well as older adults. It's what advertising is all about. It may have no effect on normal people but it could definitely be harmful to those who are susceptible.

You bet I believe in censorship of this kind of thing. Don't tell me about free speech. Free speech in the past, always referred to political speech, not to filthy talk or pornography. That fell under civility and courtesy and had no place in everyday life, especially where children were concerned.

I do believe the allowing of pornography to intrude into the public is just another way to bring this country down. It's why liberals always stand up for it along with any other uncivil, immoral, anti-Christian, anti-Jewish attitude.

Liberal standards seem to embrace touchy- feely talk but at the same time the walk seems to be something altogether different.

Hawaii lawmakers consider resolution recognizing cultural value of cockfighting - Washington Examiner

Posted: 30 Mar 2010 12:09 AM PDT

HONOLULU — Illegal cockfighting would be recognized for its cultural merits under a resolution advancing in the Hawaii Legislature.

The House Tourism, Culture and International Affairs Committee passed the resolution Monday on a 4-2 vote, sending it to the House Judiciary Committee. The resolution doesn't have the force of law and wouldn't legalize cockfighting, which is prohibited in all 50 states.

But supporters say it would recognize cockfighting's long history in Hawaii and among Filipino migrants who cherish it. They also say cockfighting is widespread on the islands, and legitimizing it could boost the economy.

Animal rights groups oppose the measure, saying cockfighting is a cruel blood sport.

Before passing the resolution, representatives amended it to include a line saying they don't support gambling or gaffs — sharp knives tied to game birds' legs.
